How we estimate this
Insurers are required by federal transparency rules to publish what they actually pay in-network providers. Those files are enormous, so we read them for you. Each number on this page is the low end of what a payer pays therapists in your state for that session length, from their own published data. We show the low end on purpose: most contracts pay more, and we’d rather you be pleasantly surprised. Where a state has too little published data, we show the payer’s national number and say so.
Two honest caveats. Your actual contracted rate depends on your license type, your contract, and sometimes negotiation, so treat this as a guide, not a quote. And getting credentialed puts your application in front of the payer; it doesn’t guarantee the panel accepts you. We’ll tell you upfront if something in your profile looks like a problem.
